Round two for Humboldt Outlaw Karts set for this weekend
Eureka, CA (May 14, 2018) – Outlaw kart racing returns to the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds this weekend for the second time in 2018. The first race was held on April 21st. This weekend’s event is presented by John’s Used Cars And Wreckers and will be held on the 1/10-mile dirt oval inside the Redwood Acres Raceway paved 3/8-mile paved oval.
Chayce Smith was the winner of the Champagne Attourny Service feature in April. Smith’s victory came in dominant fashion as he was able to run away from the rest of the field to claim his victory. In the Williamson Financial box stocks, T.J. Sorrels had a narrow win. Sorrels and Dryver Dothage exchanged the lead several times in a very exciting race.
The Fortuna Wheel & Brake old fart kart main saw Nick Ford claim victory by leading wire-to-wire. Landen Green took the victory in the Wes Green Landscaping 125/250cc kart race. In the NorCal Automovie 500cc/open karts, Cliff Myer won in unusual fashion when Chelsea Champagne’s kart broke just after taking the white flag.
Gates for the John’s Used Cars And Wreckers race this Saturday open at 10:00 AM with racing starting at 3:00 PM. For more information, please visit Humboldt Outlaw Karts at www.HumboldtOutlawKarts.com Information is also on Facebook, www.facebook.com/HumboldtOutlawKarts
