Eureka, CA (July 29, 2019) – Things are rapidly coming to a close for racers in all divisions for the Humboldt Outlaw Karts. While four races remain on the schedule, only two of them are points-paying events including the event this Saturday August 3. John’s Used Cars & Wreckers will present the action and championships in all divisions could very well be decided by the time the final checkered flag falls.
The PeeWee Predator division was a late addition to the Humboldt Outlaw Karts this season to give completely inexperienced youngsters an opportunity to learn how to get around the track. Adam Myer leads Raylan Ross by only six points. Leonard Ward IV holds the third position.
The Champagne Attorney Service beginner box stock championship appears to be in the hands of Aaliyah Mitchell as her advantage over second place Destiny Lewis is a nearly insurmountable 42 points. Destiny Lewis. Third place is held by Danica Kinsey who on the feature race on June 1.
The championship for the Williamson Financial Group box stocks is still up in the air with four drivers in the running. Grant Proctor’s two feature wins in 2019 have him in the lead by four points over Dylan Combest who won the most recent race on June 23. Third place Janice Walters will have a hard time catching the front duo as she is at a 16-point disadvantage to Proctor. Corbin Green in fourth is a point behind Walters. Austin Bartholomew in fifth faces long odds but still is mathematically alive for the championship.
Nick Ford has won every feature for the Fortuna Wheel & Brake fart karts but only has a six-point lead over Scott Proctor. Third position is held by Amanda Harpe and she’s still well in the fight as she is only 10 behind Ford.
The championship race in the Miclette Family Racing pure stocks looks to be a two-man affair with Leonard Ward having a somewhat comfortable 11-point cushion over Pete Miclette in second. Jordan Miclette and Michael Lawrence hold third and fourth but their 24 and 27 point deficits will require major issues for the front two leaders. David Alves is fifth.
The Wes Green Landscaping 250s is also a two driver race for the title. Dryver Dothage holds the top spot by 13 points over MKinzy Uselton. The fight for third position in the standings is wide open with Landen Green leading fourth-place Maleesa Miles by only two points. Derek Kessler in fifth is only eight markers behind Green.
The Nor Cal Automotive 500 division looks to be well in the hands of Tony Miles. Miles’ lead over Dax Williamson is a substantial 34 points. Cliff Myer is in the third position.
The 2019 season for the Humboldt Outlaw Karts is presented by Steve’s Septic Service and Wes Green Landscaping. Gates open Saturday at 10:00 AM with racing starting at 3:00 PM.
